‘And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”’ - 2 Corinthians 12: 9
PRAYER
THOUGHT: KNOWING we don’t always have the wisdom or the strength to cope
with life’s challenges – whether personal, imposed, or pandemic related – must
not lead us to despair. In fact, the opposite is true. When we realize our own
weakness and turn to God, it qualifies us to receive His supply of power and
patience. You can do “all things through Christ”, Paul taught, and the Bible
gives many examples including Joseph who, while in a dungeon, was asked to
interpret Pharoah’s prayer. “I can’t do it by myself,” Joseph replied,
“but God will tell you what it means!” (Genesis 41: 16). His reaction
was a rare combination of humility and trust, which is exactly what we need to
overcome life’s challenges. So, when you’re scared, speak His awesome calm,
patience, and courage over yourself and others. It will be uplifting, as it was
to Joseph, who God made fruitful.
