Here’s what we need

 

“My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you.  All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me… Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given me your name; now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are.” – John 17: 9 – 11

WHAT the world needs now is Jesus. He and Almighty God are one and Jesus prays for those people on earth who believe that God sent Jesus with all His might and glory to be our Savior. Jesus is what we need, for He has conquered all Satan’s wiles for those – including you - who are united with God. You can take multiple doses of courage today knowing that Jesus is praying for your needs to be met. He knows your innermost thoughts, problems, needs and fears, -but how well do you know Christ? I suggest you read Colossians 1: 15 – 20, it’s a little long to quote here, but it is intimately inspirational and reassuring.

PRAYER THOUGHT: I borrow in part from an Angus Buchan prayer, “Satan, we nullify your works in the Name of Jesus! Jesus is the Lord in South Africa. Every power of darkness has to bow to Jesus.”  We ask you Jesus, to protect every believer in South Africa by the power of Your Name. Amen
