Your true boundaries

“But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!” – 2 Corinthians 10: 12

WE all sometimes feel (even if it’s just a bit…) inadequate. It can sometimes help us to strive and strain to be better, for life, after all, is a self-improvement marathon. But in such times of self-examination, it is vital to remain rooted in what God made you to be, and as Paul said, to work within the boundaries God has given you. Be yourself, and don’t let comparisons with others turn you into someone you’re not meant to be. You don’t have to measure up to society’s norms, which are a confusion of often false, self-serving and fluctuating fashions in areas such as faith, family and gender. The measure that matters is what God wants you to be and do; He will be your judge. He knew and chose you long, long ago – and He strengthens you in your marathon to become the “you” He wants you to be in this life.
