The truth that lasts

“I am the Lord, and I do not change.” – Malachi 3: 6

LIFE changes. Everyone’s life is a series of changes that take us from birth, through childhood, through the process of maturing into adulthood, seniority, and old age – if we a fortunate enough to last. And all this time the world is changing around us. Fashions come and go, morals mutate, peace lasts a while, then contrasting causes clash, war and strife evolve, standards decline, and new-fangled needs become fads that often transcend principles. Spiritually too, revivals come, and revivals go, and at times like this, the truth of God’s destiny comes to be seen by many as outdated. But whatever stage you’re in, and whether or not you can adapt to these mutating scenarios, we must remember that our God is unchanging. Have no fear; He and His way will prevail - and we must view our lives in His eternal perspective for us. We must take courage in His promise that when sin increases, His grace will abound much more. He provides each of us with a divine, precious, and lasting mandate - the more things change, the more His purpose becomes relevant.
