“Brothers and sisters, I can’t
consider myself a winner yet. This is what I do: I don’t look back, I lengthen
my stride, and I run straight toward the goal to win the prize
that God’s heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 3: 13 - 14
PRAYER THOUGHT: Father
help me to press on, in spite of my weaknesses, to attain the life goal You
made possible for me through Christ. The Apostle Paul, who had been a
persecutor of Christians, didn’t let his past guilt slow him down as he strove
to be a winner. He relied on Your help through Christ to give him the confidence,
the vision, and the courage to make great progress. As we know, he went on to
write 13 books of the New Testament. Clearly, my need is immeasurably
greater, and my insecurities bog me down. Help me put my trust in Your help and
forgiveness.
