Testing times

“Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.” - 2 Corinthians 13: 5

DO you ever sit down and think about how strong, or genuine, your faith in Christ is? I have. When I have done things, or wanted to do things, that would not please God, I have questioned my faith and the reasons for it; am I obeying Him? Not always but only He knows. If we want to please God by having genuine faith, we would do well to examine our faith – am I failing? Here’s the test: Ask yourself, “How joyful am I on any given day? Am I maturing or sliding back? Do I encourage those around me? Do I manage to encourage harmony and peace? Do I trust the Lord and stay positive in the face of adversity, come what may?” Think on these things; stay strong.
