“How long, O Lord, must I call
for help?
But you do not listen! “– Habakkuk 1: 2
The Lord’s reply:
“For I am doing something in your own
day,
something you wouldn’t believe
even if someone told you about it.” – Habakkuk 1: 5
OUR God is timeless. He is, was,
and always will be. He has allocated to each of us a time and a place (our own
day). When we are frustrated because we are waiting on God to answer a prayer, remember
- God is doing things “in your own day”, that you can’t yet see.
We are not waiting for God; He is waiting for us to be ready. As an inspired preacher, Dan Malone of
Hillsong, said at the weekend, while you’re waiting to have the baby you hope
for, it can be frustrating, but once you see the sonar can, you spend
nine-months preparing. God wants you to
prepare while you wait for His answer to your prayer that you might not yet be
able to see in your own time.
