“For no one can lay any foundation other
than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 3: 11
FOUNDATIONS are made to build on. Christian lives are meant to stand
on the firmest foundation of all, Jesus Christ. Love for our Saviour and faith
in Him must remain our substratum. It is up to each one of us to build our
lives on the only basis of growth and expansion that we can truly trust, and
which can endure any stress or storm. Rely on the Sight that Christ alone can
give; He is our bedrock, we are His builders, and we must use the materials and
vision He provides in the gospel, namely faith, love and charity. We need to
ask ourselves – are we still standing firm on Christ’s steadfast holy ground?
