‘“Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic
message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord. This
is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into
you and make you live again!”’ – Ezekial 37: 4 - 5
AMAZING how nature can restore itself.
Sir David Attenborough’s eye-opening “earth” TV programs are jammed packed with
graphic examples of creatures and plants birthing and blossoming after seemingly
being wiped out. It has helped me realize that God’s wonders of nature also signify
His ability to breathe new life into mankind’s seemingly hopeless situations.
Haven’t we all sometimes felt that something has expired in our own lives? A
relationship, a career, a job, an ambition, your love for a church, your energy
or enthusiasm? Does your present set of problems feel as though it is draining
you? Does your dream seem beyond you? Whatever it is, pray to the Lord. If He can
turn dry bones into an army, (and enable ants to flourish in bone-dry deserts) you
too can have new life through prayer. Believe Him.
