“Do not be afraid of them,”
the Lord said to Joshua, “for I have given you victory over them. Not
a single one of them will be able to stand up to
you.” – Joshua 10: 8
THERE is only one way to deal with a bullying spirit, and that is to
stand up to it. Whether on the playgrounds of our schools, or on the political front,
threats to frighten, intimidate and control must be met with the courage to
stand up for what is right and just. And it is in the enormity of God’s precious Word, that we can
find the hope and inspiration to stand up to the world’s bullies and to be
righteous in the face of all forms of harassment. Be inspired also by this
anonymous quote: ‘Doubt sees the
obstacles, faith sees the way... Doubt dreads to take a step, faith soars on
high.’
