“But those who drink the water I give
will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them,
giving them eternal life.” – John 4: 14
LIKE tiny little rock pools lying
still and dormant waiting for the water to fall down the cliff of life, our
spiritual lives need refreshing from God. The Bible says that when Jesus spoke
of “living water”, He was referring to the Holy Spirit, who comes to those who
believe in Him. And the scriptures declare that “rivers of living water
will flow from His heart” (John 4: 14). So, when our pool of faith is drying
up, we must ask God to let this river of anointing from heaven flow, tumbling
down the cliffs of life until our little pools overflow, running downstream to
others waiting who-knows-where for the tributaries of fresh, bubbling living
water to slake their thirst and give “them eternal life.”
