For all of God’s promises have been
fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” - 2 Corinthians 1: 20
THE Word of God and all His
promises are especially for the everyday man-on-the-street, the stressed out
mother trying to raise toddlers, the truck driver, the salespeople at the mall,
the secretary, the schoolteacher, the entrepreneur, the lonely gran, or the
cop-on-the-beat. For such people there is ja great deal of unfulfilled promise,
whether in world events, on the job front, at home or in personal matters.
There are so many hopes, and so much waiting. Will this be the year that things
turn around? Probably not on the scale many are experiencing – unless we take
Isaiah 40: 31 really seriously; “But the people who trust (hope in; wait
on) the Lord will become strong again.” So let us believe and make this
the time (even the year) of strong trust in which we will see God’s
promises in our lives. That time must begin with trust; Christ confirmed the
promises, they are everlasting, and trust will see them fulfilled. If you’re
waiting on a particular promise, know that it awaits your faith. THINK&PRAY
will be looking at some of God’s promises that may apply now to our lives. But
remember that faith comes from “hearing” His Word., so we dare not neglect
spending time hearing and reading the Gospel of Christ.
