It’s OK, it’s OK, it’s OK…

“No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!- Matthew 18: 22

TRY to see every time you forgive someone as a chance to grow a little more like Jesus. He wasn’t bogged down in resentment, anger or self-pity. Are we? Just sometimes, perhaps? But God says we can find peace and freedom in forgiveness. So be free, forgive; it will free you of resentment that can and does bind you. Remember, forgiveness does not condone, it overcomes wrongs with goodness. Colossians says, “Make allowance for each other’s faults…remember the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which bind us together in perfect harmony” (vs 13 – 14). Thanks to the mercy and peace of mind of God’s grace, we can’t forgive too often – especially with people we may be tempted to enjoy disliking
