WE all need to be free, and feel
free. It is vital to us. Criminals are punished by taking away their freedom. But
many law-abiding folk feel tied down, bound by something - be it PTSD, their conscience,
an addiction, fear, or an on-going obsession. Christ sets us free. It costs us
nothing – it’s a gift. God’s new covenant under Christ frees us from sin and
from the bonds of the past. With the Spirit of Christ comes freedom to forgive,
the freedom to love, and freedom from the desire to sin. A wise man once said
that “freedom discovers man the moment he … stops seeking human approval.”
Rather worship Jesus. He will release the worldly bonds and set you free to
love, serve, and worship Him. So
if something’s still bogging you down, give it to God - experience the joy of
His freedom.
