Staying in touch

 

“I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” – Psalm 16: 8

ALWAYS keeping our eyes on the Lord is the way to go, but most of us are too often distracted by the social garbage-go-round or our commercial whirl. Let’s face it, we don’t in all situations ask, “God, what do I do next?” But wouldn’t it be great if we always looked to Him for guidance, were always aware that God was at our right hand, next to us, or going before us. The Holy Spirit indwells us, but we must embrace Him always to know His exceeding joy that helps us proceed and overcome. One way that can help us stay in touch is to read and pray the psalms. Learn some off by heart; Jesus loved them and quoted them. The psalms are spiritual food that help us keep our eyes on the Lord.
