“No good thing will He withhold from
those who walk uprightly.” – Psalm 84: 11
WE continue
to extract truth from this one little verse of God’s Word, so on day three, we
look again at Psalm 84: 11.
I ONCE found myself praying repeatedly and
unsuccessfully for something decidedly greedy, and then this scripture struck
home; God doesn’t withhold “good things” from His people. So, what I was
praying for must have been bad thing. It made sense and made me grasp yet again
that we should turn to His Word for understanding and help whenever we need it.
We can grow, learn and be refreshed each time we turn to it for help. After
all, Ephesians 6 tells us to “to take up the sword of the Spirit, which
is the Word of God.” What God’s Word prompts you to do, will make you
live a good, upright life. His Word is the Spirit that is your guide and your
salvation
