The BIG Three

“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” - 1 Corinthians 13: 13

MANY people over-complicate Christianity. Today I am going to simplify it by focusing on just THREE holy essentials. Just THREE things. It struck me the other day, after reading the verse above, that the number fits so well with the Holy TRINITY – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; the THREE things on which Christian life depends. If you worship the Trinity, you are assured of THREE things lasting forever: 1) Faith 2) Hope 3) Love. But, as this scripture goes on to tell us, the greatest of these is love, because “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” So, whether at work, at home, or at play, the essence of a Christian’s life is to know just THREE things; that if you love Christ, His love will never let you down, His love will maintain your faith in the Holy Trinity, and it will fill you with hope that will endure no matter what.
