We’re not alone

 

“…a real friend sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18: 21)

SOCIAL distancing may be the new norm – but it isn’t needed in the home of a close-knit family. Christ wants us and our families to be up-close with Him, so He sent His Holy Spirit to dwell right in our hearts. True friends, who stick “closer than a brother”, according to Proverbs, are like spiritual family, who won’t desert us and who help us to share in the love of God. The Bible repeatedly reminds that we are not alone: “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand… ‘Fear not, I will help you.’” (Isaiah 41: 3), and many more.  He is with us, and He has put family and friends into our lives. When we pray and ask Him to bless our spouse, our children, our parents, our siblings, and our true friends, we should remember to thank Him for each of them, our very own angels.
