“We prove ourselves by our purity, our
understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us,
and by our sincere love.” – 2 Corinthians 6: 6
DIFFICULT as it may be to show a
smiling face while wearing a mask, Christians are called to show God’s “unfailing
kindness” (see Psalm 18: 50) when dealing with others. The Bible tells
us God is kind all the time, and if we want to follow Christ’s example, we need
to make kindness our ambition. We have been enabled and anointed to do so
because “God put His Spirit in our hearts” (2 Corinthians 1: 22).
I even heard a preacher recently quote Pluto, of all mythical figures, as
saying, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.” Take that from whence it comes, but turn to
God’s infallible Word for the wisdom and strength that enables us to live in a
Godly way by spreading loving kindness
