most people, the idea of waiting for God seems biblically historic. But we must
guard against the frenetic pace of the world we live in being carried into our
spiritual life. The guy who recently demonstrated how instant our lifestyles can
be by skydiving out of an aircraft and paying his rent by EFT off a smartphone
before he landed, was an instant hit. But the Bible tells us that “patience is
better than pride”. Patience and faith are essential godly gifts which we must
treasure as we wait for His will to be done – including in our own lives.
