Then
Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go
home!” And the
man jumped up and went home! – Matthew 9: 6 – 7
DO you live in a
discomfort zone? Many of us do. “I feel I should do something…”; “things can’t
just go on like this…”; ”I should have
tried that new idea”. Fear of getting up and taking practical steps, is like
sitting in a rocking chair – lots of movement but you’re going nowhere. The
paralysed man acted in faith and did something – he moved. If we’re uncomfortable
with life, we too must get up and show faith that our miracle-working God will help
us to overcome our limitations. Be inspired by this anonymous quote: ‘Doubt sees the obstacles, faith sees the
way... Doubt dreads to take a step, faith soars on high.’
