A Word to treasure

“The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. I open my mouth and pant, longing for your commands.”- Psalm 119: 130 – 131

WE have all panted for a word from God, for some holy command, a treasure from heaven. A word from Him can give light that strengthens us when we feel weak or in doubt, it is a jewel beyond compare. And God gives such precious light and understanding through His written Word. Don’t wait till His still, small voice pierces your conscience or till the heavens echo His voice – turn to the Bible; stop panting and gasp at the beauty of Psalm 119 – “My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees. Your instructions are more valuable to me than millions in gold and silver.” (vs 71 – 72); “Truly, I love your commands more than gold, even the finest gold.” (vs 127)
