"…but let God transform you into a new person by
changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you,
which is good and pleasing and perfect." – Romans 12: 2
THE
God of the Bible is of another order to us. He doesn’t live in time and space
like we do, or (obviously) in a cottage or a house as we do; He doesn’t consume,
He creates. And nor does He think, as we do - of ourselves first, of material
and physical things. Yet He promises to transform the way we think so that we
can try to understand His way for us to live. So, how does He think? I read
somewhere that God thinks of love that is everlasting, of relationships with
people, of providing them joy, hope, faith, truth and justice. He thinks of
lifting us to new heights through the power of the Holy Spirit and slowly
making us think - and behave - more like His Son He sent to show us the way.
