“Should
the thing that was created say to the one who created it, ‘Why have you made me
like this?’” – Romans 9: 20
IT’S not easy to be grateful for life, and for who you are, from a
wheelchair or worse, but it is possible by God’s grace. I know people with
advanced multiple sclerosis who thank God for life every day – and they’re
inspirational to those who know them. It is God’s will that those who follow
Jesus be thankful in all circumstances (see Thessalonians 5: 18). Too many of
us are dissatisfied with what we are, with our lives and circumstances. We look
at others and are envious; we whine instead of worship. As stated earlier, being
thankful in all circumstances can be inspirational; Jesus in us is our source
of joy, hope and gratitude. Pray that your faith and trust in your Creator will
inspire others, whatever your lot in this life.
