It never gives up

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged... Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” - 1 Corinthians 13: 4 - 7

I KEEP returning to the scripture above because I need to. There are times of impatience, of (just a bit) jealousy, and …well, if not rudeness, grumpiness. And there are times when giving up seems an option. Then I turn to this scripture; then I need reminding that God IS love, that love never gives up and that He never gives up on us. If you can relate, let’s pray from Psalm 25: “All day long I put my hope in you. Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing love which you have shown from long ages past”.
