Let’s just remember as we relax and be joyous with our loved ones to keep Jesus at the centre of the season, and of every other day of our lives. Let it be a time of renewing our love for Him. Even now, more than 2 000 years after His birth in a stable, the baby Jesus Christ still has an immeasurable influence on all mankind. He is loved and debated; worshiped and denied; written about, studied, accepted or rejected. He changes lives, inspires a world full of gospel music, international Christian television networks with global reach. At the same time, He inspires the sick and dying and still performs miracles in many lives. As much of the world stops to celebrate His birth, pause a while and consider His gift to us – everlasting life. But there is another gift to unwrap - the joy and freedom of living the rest of your life on earth guided by His Holy Spirit that He promised and sent to live in the hearts of those who love Him. It lets us grow in Godly love, which is our greatest need for the year ahead.
