“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” – Psalm
30: 5
WE all experience
anger and sorrow about things that have happened to us – but how do we get over
it? What can we do when tragedies or upsets leave us grieving or bitter? For a
time, grief is good and proper. But its moment must pass for sorrow and anger
can become selfish and monopolizing. So, what do we do? We can’t go back and undo
the past. We can’t live in yesterday. We don’t want to stay where we are; its
miserable. So, move forward - the voice of God calls us to tomorrow. Commit
your troubles to God and move forward in faith that joy will come in the
morning and that His favor will last you a lifetime – just as the Psalmist
declares.
