Keeping in step

‘“This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!” As Goliath moved closer to attack, David quickly ran out to meet him.’ – 1 Samuel 17: 47 - 48
I HEARD an inspirational preach about dancing with Lord, about staying in step and letting Him lead.  It was titled ‘Slow, slow, quick, quick, slow’. And there are indeed many aspects of life where the Holy Spirit can help us to hasten or to take it more slowly, as God requires. One area that has been on my mind – but not touched on in the sermon – is preventing small problems from becoming giants in our lives. Step out quickly and tackle it, as David did with Goliath. His faith in God gave Him the courage. Fears that aren’t dealt with in time become strongholds. The Lord strengthens us for battles that seem too big. David stepped out quick-quick – the Lord helped him!
