May blessings abound

“Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.” - 1 Peter 3: 9
I WAS taken aback to read a that a Christian writer thought it had become clichéd to say, “God bless you” and that it should be avoided. How sad. To believe in God, is to believe in His unbounded blessings. To bless someone – from the heart, of course - can be defined as “infusing” someone with God’s divine will. God wants us to bless even those who hurt us; He will bless you in return – you’ll both be divinely “infused”. God’s Word says we must work at turning the wrongs you encounter into blessings. May that writer be blessed.
