Cool wisdom

“Live wisely among those who are not believers... Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.” – Colossians 4: 5 – 6

BUT how, we may ask, do we “live wisely” among non-believers? This verse from the Bible gives some vital clues; when our communication with sceptics is “gracious”, we extend grace to them in a way that is friendly and understandable. And when it is “attractive”, it becomes intriguing, acceptable and cool. This can enable us to enter into relationships that might otherwise stay out of bounds. Having the “right response for everyone” is a tall order, so rely completely on the Holy Spirit – He knows the way and the words.
