“Don’t repay evil
for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay
them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will
grant you his blessing.” - 1 Peter 3: 9
I WAS somewhat astonished to read a that
a Christian writer thought it had become clichéd to say “God bless you” and that
it should be avoided if you want to be taken seriously. How sad. If you believe
in God, you believe in His unbounded blessings. To bless someone is defined as “infusing”
someone God’s divine will. God wants us to bless even those who hurt us; He
will bless you in return – you’ll both be “infused” with God’s divine love,
guidance and protection. God’s word says if you want to enjoy life and see many
happy days, you must work at maintaining peace and turning the wrongs you
encounter into blessings. May that writer be blessed.
