The best is yet to come

“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” _ 2 Corinthians 4: 18
PSYCHOLOGISTS would be less prosperous if it wasn’t for people who carry around the hurt of lost dreams. Many a failed relationship, lost dream, or physical aspiration that didn’t come to pass because of society’s interfering whims, can leave us feeling wasted, useless. Which is why God wants us not to be too attached to things of this world, but to live for Him.
Even friends and loved ones can let you down. But God’s love is eternal. Don't be cynical, live in love, but know there is a greater love, a more lasting commitment, than the things of this world – they “grow strangely dim in the light of His wonderful face”. Whatever it is that hurts, will take on a new perspective when you accept God’s promise that this life, with all its joys, and challenges, is a temporary assignment and that the best is yet to come.
