“And it was not Adam who was deceived by Satan. The woman was deceived, and sin was the result.”. – 1 Timothy 2: 14
DECEIT is Satan‘s
fall-back weapon. It was the cause of sin. Because we all have our weaknesses,
Satan deceives us into falling into them, sometimes concealing them in our own
consciousness, or by disguising them till they can break us down, but also by
exaggerating our sins and failings to drive us into desperation and depression
that keep us from God.
Because his enemy is God and man is just a
pawn on his board of deception, the devil concentrates on Christians, the
children of God. Knowing that God has sent His Holy Spirit to live in us and
guide us to live righteous lives that glorify Him, Satan will use every deceit
in the book to stop us. So be alert. Live and grow in the Word; by God’s grace
your sins and failures are forgiven. Don’t be deceived, Christ is your hope and
your strength.
