Come what may…

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15: 13

AS we all know, these are testing times. Our attitudes, our commitments, and the values by which we live are challenged. Extra-ordinary events and waves of conflicting opinions fill our day, causing doubt and confusion. This is when we need a godly perspective. A friend said in a phone chat today, “I believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, so I carry on confidently, come what may.” I was filled with admiration  -  God in His grace sent Jesus to us; He died so that we can live, and He sent the Holy Spirit to help us understand life and fill us with hope, peace, and the knowledge of salvation. What my friend said reminded me of the scripture above and the wonderful way the Spirit can “renew your thoughts and attitudes.” (See Ephesians 4: 24)
