“But
to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children
of God.” - John 1: 12
KNOWING
that the future belongs to the youth of today, I asked a young man, a grandson
of mine, how he explained his faith to his non-Christian buddies. He said it
was like learning to ride a bike; there were bumps in the road and you
sometimes fell off. He said, you have to fall off a few times in order to
learn, but once you’re riding - what joy!. “Just because I’m a Christian it
doesn’t mean I can’t have fun. On the contrary, faith makes it feel so positive.
It’s great!” Now God doesn’t have any grand-children, we’re all His sons
and daughters regardless of age, and it’s our Father’s wish for us each one of
us to enjoy the Christian ride, bumps and all. But the roads that lie ahead for
future generations in this world are increasingly bumpy, jagged, and potholed,
so we need His help equipping our offspring to believe in Him so they will also
be able to enjoy the rugged ride ahead with faith and positivity.
