“You
are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and
then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it
gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for
all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” – Matthew 5: 14 -

LIKE well raised
children, who eventually figure out what their parents want and then do it, we
bring joy to God when we get it right and imitate His ways. Except God made it
easier for His children; by His grace, He gave us Christ to bring light to our
world, to show us the way and to take away our darker doubts and fears. Once we
see His light, it fills our hearts so that it shines on us, in us and through us.
Then our lives and testimonies can help spread His light and His love into the
dark corners where many still dwell.
