Let the light in

“I am the light of the world,” he said. “Whoever follows me will have the light of life and will never walk in darkness.”- John 8: 12

IF we wait until we are perfect, until we fix all our cracks, to turn to God, we will never do so. But if we have faith in Jesus with all our frailties, flaws, and darkness, His light will peep through our cracks and light up our lives. He will overcome our brokenness with his strength. As Leonard Cohen once wrote in a poem:

Ring the bells that still can ring

Forget your perfect offering

There is a crack in everything

That’s how the light gets in.
