“Let everything you say be good and
helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them… be
kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through
Christ has forgiven you.” – Ephesians 4: 29, 32
THE world is full of good, helpful people. When we encounter their
unencumbered kindness, we should be inspired to help spread the goodwill.
Personally, I was so awe-struck by the lengths some ladies went to in Somerset
West to help me get my wife’s hearing aid repaired. They dropped everything and - with no
financial advantage to themselves – took time and trouble to find and direct us
to the right audiologist; and they did it all with a smile. Whatever their own
belief, they were shining examples of the overwhelming goodness that God wants
to shower us with and which is spelled out in the book of Ephesians quoted
above. We should all read it again and again. Thank you, ladies, for reminding all
of us.
