“The Lord hears his people when
they call to him for help… The Lord is
close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” –
Psalm 34: 17 - 18
WHATEVER it is that might
make you sad, be confident that God has not abandoned His plan for you; He will
ease your aching heart. Take refuge in Him, as the psalmist suggests, knowing
that His plan eclipses your own. Even the pleasures and achievements we create for ourselves are nothing compared
to what He has waiting for those who love Him and lean on Him in times of
difficulty.
