Always be joyful. Never stop
praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you
who belong to Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
ARE we always joyful? Always praying? Always thankful? This is God’s
will for us so we should consider what we need to make these an integral party
of our daily lives. First I suggest we take note that its “in” all circumstances
not “for” all circumstances. Bad things happen that neither God nor we want,
but He will help us through them and work things out for us eventually. But the
key to focus on is that we “belong to Jesus Christ”; what He did for you and I,
what He is still doing for us and will do for us is the real reason we can have
great joy, continuous prayer and eternal thankfulness.
