Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am
the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will
have the light of life.” – John 8: 12
CS Lewis once wrote that we should not see everything as a new sunrise
but we should see by the light of the sun. He could have said “by the light of
the Son” for you cannot have a godly view of life without following Jesus. Our
self-fulfilling goal in life should be to follow Him, walking in the light of
His love and seeing people and events at least partially as He does and trying
to discern and understand with a heart filled with the light of that love.
