“Salvation is
not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. …He
has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned
for us long ago.” – Ephesians 2: 9
GET over yourself and into Jesus – that is a core
message that touched me in church. Since Adam, we’ve been preoccupied with
ourselves and we forget that God loves us anyway. Whether we think we so smart we
don’t need God, or whether we have to slave away to measure up to society’s
norms, He just wants us, deep in our hearts, to love Jesus. Our pride must not
be in ourselves but in Christ, through whom all things then become possible.
Simply put, we have to become less before we become more.
