“But now, by means of the physical death
of his Son, God has made you his friends, in order to bring you, holy, pure,
and faultless, into his presence. You must, of course ...not allow yourselves
to be shaken from the hope” Colossians 1: 22 -23
PRAYER THOUGHT: All the joy
we can ever hope for – relief, forgiveness, comfort, compassion, love, freedom,
peace – are to be found in the presence of God. He has made this glory possible
through Christ. But there is an addendum; we must not allow ourselves to drift away
or become uncaring. We can perpetuate this joy by continuous thanks and prayer
for ongoing faith.
