But Jesus told him, “No! The
Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that
comes from the mouth of God.’-Matthew 4: 4
WE must remember not to separate our life’s physical needs from our
trusting relationship with God and His Word. It caters for all our needs. We can
and should go to the Word in search of divine provision whether it’s about our
careers, how we earn a living, our health, what house to buy or how on earth to
balance the budget. You may feel a need, have the desire and think you are
equipped, but Jesus reminded us – in what He said and did – to feed on the Word
and pray for guidance. (Read Matthew 4: 1 – 11)
