Now is the hour

“But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.” – Romans 8: 25

CHURCHES worldwide focus on faith movements but I don’t recall coming across a patience movement. Yet these two spiritual gifts go hand-in-hand and patience is a very neglected virtue. We must guard against the trends of our instant-access world being carried into our spiritual life. Knowledge, entertainment and who-knows-what else can be instantly googled yet we are often called to have patience in our dealings with people and with God. To many, the idea of waiting for God seems biblically historic! Now is the hour for including the need for patience in our prayers.
