PRAYER THOUGHT: When we
marvel at the beauty of God’s creation – be it a snow-capped mountain, a
shimmering sunset or the wonder of a new-born child – let us give thanks too
for those who create new life for orphans. Though they themselves may be
unfruitful, their decision to adopt a child is a beautiful reflection of God’s
love. True religion, the bible says, is taking care of orphans. What greater
care is there than in the arms of a loving family? Let us pray it turns any sense
of sadness into a mutual celebration of creating life through love.
